Money Saving Tips: Buy meat in bulk

Recently at the supermarket we decided to buy a four kilo piece of topside.  The price would good, (around 30 dollars Australian), and when we took it home to cut up, we made seven meals.  A Mix of stakes, diced, snitzels and diced.

The quality was fantastic, and the price was about 60 percent of what we would have paid if we had bought the meat individually.  What's more, we were able to cut away the fat to make sure all the meals were healthier.

So our tip for today is:  buy a large pice of beef or lamb, and cut it up to make your regular meals.

Oh we do this all the time! We cut it into portions and freeze the meat so that we can use it as and when depending on how many of us are eating. I really try to put much less meat into our meals like Bolognese for example..no one even noticed I had halved the amount! Such a saving!

sandwich meat is so expensive much better to cook your own meat and cut it up for sandwiches cheaper and better tasting.
