Money Saving: How to save money at work

In today's blog post we share with you five ways to save money at work.  Enjoy!

  1. Bring your own lunch:  Its an oldie but a goodie.  It works.  It will save you around $30 a week, or $1560 a year if you do it every day.  So brown paper bag it.
  2. Car pool:  Travelling with fellow co-workers who live in your area is a great way to save money on fuel and car costs.
  3. Public transport:  Even better than car pooling is public transport.  In most cities the cost is significantly cheaper than using your car.  Plus you have more free time.
  4. Make your own coffee:  That daily coffee from Starbucks adds up. Even if you don't replace it every day, replacing it two to three times a week will still add up.
  5. Buy your snacks from the supermarket:  Its often tempting to go to the cafe for a few snacks.  Stock up in the supermarket and keep them at your desk.  You will save a bundle.
Follow the tips above, and you will save money at work.  Remember though, that you still need to have fun, so the occasional splurge is ok.  Just don't make it a habit!

Cheers
